2011 Resolutions, Volume 2

This is the one that had all the one per server characters I had. Some of these servers are bereft of toons, after I hit the 50 on an account wall in Cataclysm and deleted some of my toons.

Once again, last year's content is in black. Update for 2011 are in red.

Realm: Cho'gall
Vanisha, Gnomish Rouge
(Not So)Quick Note: This is one of two rouges I have that share a name. I have another gnomish rouge on Kel'Thuzad but on my second account. As I don't think I'm going to play my second account any time soon, I'm not including the about 10 characters on there. I rolled this toon to check out how bad Cho'gall really was after ready this wow.com article. Sure enough it was a ghost town. I rolled during the Thanksgiving event, so there were at least some people out there. But coming from Kel'Thuzad where there have been queues a week after patches, it was a little bit of culture shock. Ironforge was all tumble weeds. I usually have a frame rate slowdown in IF on my main server but here, there's a lonely mage every once and a while. The absolute lack of moronic trade chat is brilliant though and I'll come level on Cho'gall when I've had enough of people arguing over gearscore, your mama jokes and Chuck Norris. The second day there I did see that horde owned the server. First of all there was excited trade chat banter that the Alliance actually held Wintergrasp for the first time in several days (a successful defense was uncommon on KT). Later I couldn't use the auction house because one single orc had destroyed all of Ironforge. I mean really, no one was there to stop him. Finally two level 80s arrived (who probably came because a guild bank alt couldn't sell anything) to clear the orc out. A single horde would be lucky to get past the guys dueling at the front gates let alone run the whole town on KT. If free transfers ever open up to this server I'd be interested in sending more guys out here to help. I may go against my principals and roll a DK here (I like to hold myself to the old "You must have a character level 55 on this server to create a Death Knight")
Necessary goals: Contribute to the server in whatever way possible. Luckily, the cross-realm dungeon finder is up so finding groups for 5-man content isn't much of an issue. With the limited time I have and the breadth of my WoW projects, power leveling to 80 may not be feasible. I can however, provide low price leveling goods for re-rolled toons. Sell all my greens for slightly more than vendor prices, sell extra trade supplies for cheap and all that sort of economic help. And if I can help with info in trade chat of can take care of a lowlevel ganker, maybe I can make that happen too. I did and I have done this. Will do more of it in 2011.
Time Permitting goals: Get to level 55 and add a DK to the ranks. Nope and Nope. Did not roll a dk and will not. I did add an additional paladin though. New goal: Singlehandedly level up the guild.
Lofty goals: Become a level 80 paragon of the Alliance. I think I'm like level 25 and get on to check my mail now and again.

Blac, Badd Ass Paladin
Quick Note: This paladin was created to replace a bank alt I had named Clotheshorse. Clotheshorse was on Kel'Thuzad, but I deleted him to try out the new races and race/class combos in Cataclysm. Clotheshorse was a paladin I modeled after Samuel L. Jackson and the Commander Shepard I made for Mass Effect (think bald Sammy Jack with a blond goatee.) There really is a paucity of black characters in World of Warcraft. All the major human lore characters are white, and many human players are white as well. Anyone notice that?
Time Permitting goals: Get to level 10 so you can see the armory page.
Lofty Goals: Same as Vanisha, get to level 85 and be relevant for the server, i.e. tank and heal.

Realm: Ysondre
Gixa, Undead Priest
Quick Note: This was a character I created to play with my suitemates at college. They were playing on The Forgotten Coast but I had somehow got the server name wrong. No clue how Ysondre=Forgotten Coast, but it was college and crazier thing had happened. I remember this one time we moved our suitmate's room outside into the courtyard.....
Necessary goals: Log onto her sometime in the next two months. ( I really should just delete her, but I don't have the heart to do so.) Anothe lame goal accomplished. I actually got her a pilgrim hat, too. Now she'll feed green gear to my new pacifist character.
Lofty goals: Transfer her to a server where she will have other toons to support her leveling. Guess what, she's got new toons supporting her.

Carlah, Pacifist Worker Cow
Quick Note: I created this character because I found out the original WoW pacifist was doing a new character on this server. Since I already had one toon on the server with a few gold I thought it would be cool to roll a toon on there, too.I actually got to send mail to Brian and he responded! That actually achieves the goal of another character I had, so I was able to delete a toon!
Necessary goals: Level to 85 without killing anything, doing damage and without doing any quests. That means exploring mining and archeology only.
Time Permitting Goals: max out professions. This includes cooking up to the top off a fully vegan diet. I may have to do a lot of dailies after I hit 85 to do it.
Lofty Goals: Full Archeology Epics.

Realm: Fizzcrank
Pilowsham, Dranei Shaman
Quick Note: I started this toon to play with my friend on Blackhand, who was using his brand new Mac to enjoy WoW. We couldn't coordinate playtime together and he didn't last too much longer after his first couple of months. I then free transfered from high population Blackhand to Fizzcrank, where it turned out, everyone else was heading to escape high population. There were queues to get into Fizzcrank for days after I transferred.
Necessary Goals: Level up to 10 so that the Armory recognizes her. Yep. New goal level to a point I can use shoulder armor.
Time permitting goals: Level up until I can get and cast heroism.Sounds like a good goal to keep.
Lofty goals: Level up until I can get and cast heroism in a meaningful environment. I mean like a raid or top level PVP. I might consider a lvl 85 five man to count too.

Realm:Bronzebeard
Igotfivespot, charitable contributor
Quick Note: I rolled this toon to participate in game with  the wowmarathon to raise money for Child's Play, around the time of pax. I first rolled a dk name Ihazfivbuck, but I didn't feel like having another DK running around cheering. So I rolled a Dwarf paladin and walked to Zul'Farrak, where the marathoners were currently leveling. Got to level four between the walking and doing the first quest.
Necessary goals: Walk back home. I'm chilling in Tanaris right now, giving level 40 guys the WTF factor. I am hearthed back in Coldridge Valley, but I'd like to travel back the way I got there, or perhaps a different route this time.
Lofty goals: Actually level this toon. This is one of the toons I deleted. Besides the WTF factor, there wasn't much to enjoy. I could have tried to do world explorer, but wasn't feeling it. Oh well freed up space for a goblin!

Realm:Maiev
Keslin, Dwarf huntress
Quick note: This is the home of Noor, the first pacifist character to reach 80. I wanted to catch Noor's owner online to chat and congratulate him on his work. It's made me look at WoW in diferent ways.
Necessary and possibly lofty goals: Hunt down Noor. He spends much more time on Mainchenn these days so I may not be able to find him. Add to that fact I never log on this toon and it looks like a major fail. Please see Carlah above. She was able to track down Noor's operator. I also created a belf mage named Dyonne, but that was mostly to grief a paladin tank who ninja'd an Illusionary Rod. Wasn't much call to save her, since I have like 12 mages on my account already.
